Abstract

This report presents the process of creating the material entitled “Social projects benefit from resources from the Amapá Justice Department”. The production addressed alternative measures through pecuniary penalties applied by the Alternative Sentence Measures Court (VEPMA) that benefit institutions with social purposes, such as Casa ONG Nosso Lar. We start from the construction of the theoretical framework to outline the relationship between journalism and reporting, like Nilson Lage (2001, 2014) and Mário Erbolato (2003). We then carried out field research (Prodanov, 2013) using the semi-structured interview technique (Gil, 2021). We understand that the importance of publicizing actions like this reinforces the role of journalism in being the spokesperson for facts that are socially relevant to the population, but that are not widely publicized by the local media.
