Resumo
This article is an investigation about the possibilities of the philosophy teaching works as an instrument for gender equality, valuing the singularities and pluralities of existing ways of being. To reach that goal, it was followed the methodological rules of the bibliographic research as well as the knowledge that gender is historically built on the pretext to reflect a supposed feminine and masculine nature. Under these circumstances, in the first part of the research is analyzed the relationship between learning and power, describing how the search for an absolute truth resulted in philosophical speeches based on gender inequalities. After that, in the second part of the research, it was considered the function that education may have opposing the genres violences and the challenges that arise in the face of conservative sectors advance that conveniently spread misunderstand thoughts about this theme. Lastl, it is demonstrated the possibility of teaching philosophy to contribute to the introduction of new consciences that resignify gender relations, since the school is a space of dispute and is marked by both the possibility of reproduction of Inequalities as well as the contestation of social order. For this, philosophy should not be subject itself to the interests of the State, Religion or any other form of instituted power and either to be understood as a system of finishing and definitive, but rather as the attitude of denaturalizing reality, questioning the established values and for this by continually rethinking itself.
