Contribuições do ensino de sociologia para uma educação antirracista

Abstract

Racism is one of the heritages of a markedly eurocentric culture that for centuries explored the black labor. Enslaved, the man of color was expropriated from his land and as a consequence of a dominant culture the black identity was and still is today constantly denied in its substantiality. The colonist's dominance not only created forms of physical domination, sustained by a cultural hierarchy, but also colonized the way of thinking and seeing of the colonized itself. In a sense, the colonized suffers from the alienation of oneself, because it is marked by the ideological and epistemological traits that have obliterated a different culture, the other that is; Roots for which there is no integral back. The process of colonization has not ceased, certainly, it is necessary to rethink the ways of liberation from the old moorings that still imprison, exclude and marginalize millions of people, it is necessary to understand the bases of a post-colonial pedagogy rethinking the course of education itself. In this sense, this work aim store reflect about the possibilities of the sociology teaching and how they can for the decolonial pedagogy and how they can contribute to the construction of a positive black identity and subjectivities.
