Violência e suspeição: um estudo sobre os casos de abordagem policial na baixada do Ambrósio/AP

Abstract

This paper discusses the police actions aimed at personal quest for youth under the motivating use of "police suspicion", so you want to know the mechanisms and discourse construction criteria of reasonable suspicion practiced by the military police, trying to understand the possible link between the accused and the influence of social filters on the suspect selection. The survey was conducted in 2013 and 2014 in the Baixada Ambrósio, in Santana/AP, and developed from the following areas: 1) bibliographic research that allowed the contact with the literature; 2) field research with holding open interviews with residents and police officers. The survey analyzes, as police build the discourse that defines who you are, or not a suspect and as in the XXI century, see whether maintaining the ideas of positivist criminology call, with regard to the interpretation of criminal phenomenon. Like this, starts with the hypothesis that the suspicion is not random, but rather selective always depends on your point of view and the choice of police. It is an inquisitorial process by which identities are constructed and/or assigned to live properly in what is represented as a suspect.
