Abstract

The gift article presented as objective to analyze the Public administration of the Municipal Department of the Environment with the society of Amapá. To this end, a research of a basic nature was carried out, with a qualitative and quantitative approach of a descriptive and participative nature, involving the Secretary of SEMAM, as well as the inspectors who work in that body. The research results showed that through archived data presented in an Annual Report produced by SEMAM from the year 2016, the actions and activities carried out by the aforementioned Secretariat were: production of seedlings; revitalization of public places, through pruning, afforestation and landscaping; as well as the inspection of inspections in neighborhoods and subdivisions, in addition to the development of environmental education that aims to raise awareness of the preservation and protection of the environment. It is also noteworthy that the number of actions and activities developed by SEMAM corresponded to 782 activities that covered complaints, requests from the Public Ministry, infractions, notifications and night actions are negligible given the competence of the aforementioned Secretariat, being compromised due to the lack of equipment for the effectiveness and efficiency of administrative work; deficiency of office materials; technicians without computers; lack of fuel; lack of organic inputs; lack of staff; among others, which present themselves as obstacles to the actions of the aforementioned Secretariat.
