Resumo
The integration of science and everyday life is a challenge faced by students in peripheral schools, which means that many teachers are unable to achieve the educational objectives set by their schools. However, there is a need to use new methodological strategies that help students build knowledge that can develop scientific knowledge and transform the realities experienced by students in their communities. This work presented in article format comes from a bibliographic study, in which it was published and presented at the National Education Congress - CONEDU in 2021, in which it highlights the importance and role that the QuiNERD Club represents for the Everaldo da Silva State School Vasconcelos Júnior, and how the creation of science clubs are key elements in the integration process between school and university and also how the use of non-formal education spaces can contribute to student development. This article reports on the experiences of students and interns who participated in the QuiNERD Club, highlighting the importance of the club for the school community, inspiring teachers to use alternative methodologies to traditional teaching and contributing to the development of professional decision-making processes. In addition to contributing to the pre-internship training of students. As a result, the results obtained by the club's students have received awards and recognition at municipal and national level, which has resulted in the participation of students in regional and national Olympics, and additionally of students in the area of exact sciences, mainly in the area of chemistry. which, through the QuiNERD Club, inspires students to enroll in undergraduate chemistry courses at national higher education institutions in the state of Amapá
