“Descomplica, dona Bete”: tecnologia cuidativo-educacional para complicações agudas do diabetes mellitus

Abstract

Objective: To build and validate a health education application for people with diabetes mellitus about acute complications of the disease as a resource for prevention. Method: Applied methodological study, exploratory technological production. The production of the application took place in two stages, the first literature review and the second the construction of the application itself. After construction, the Audience Evaluation questionnaire was applied. Results: The “Uncomplicates, Dona Bete” app built on media, text and audio, welcome home screen, secondary screen buttons push for acute complications Hypoglycemia, Hyperglycemia, Diabetic Ketoacidosis and Hyperosmolar Hyperglycemic Status. In the evaluation of the target audience, the writing style and appearance blocks, respectively, required revision for better understanding.
