Educação ambiental: uma abordagem contextualizada no processo de ensino-aprendizagem de química orgânica para alunos da 3ª série do ensino médio

Abstract

Currently, the environmental crisis that has been plaguing the planet since the 1960s and even more so now with the vast global warming that is gradually intensifying every day. The approach to environmental issues in chemistry classes adds to the student's critical development, as well as raising awareness of the need to preserve the environment. In view of this, the main aim of this study is to discuss environmental issues with students in the third year of secondary school, based on the introductory content of Organic Chemistry, with the aim of promoting Environmental Education by addressing issues such as pesticides and composting organic waste. The methodology of this research consisted of the qualitative method, in which the information was obtained through data collection based on field research. The resultsobtained in this work demonstrated the need to debate environmental issues within chemistry teaching, since as well as making teaching and learning innovative, it also makes students rethink their habits and ways of looking after the environment. Therefore, this work provided students with a critical and sensitizing view of environmental problems, as well as an understanding of chemistry concepts
