Abstract

The present work corresponds to an attempt to identify and understand the characteristics that make urban space healthy and adequate, based on observation of the current condition in which the city of Macapá finds itself, recognizing the deficiencies of the systems that interact with the daily lives of their inhabitants, in addition the work aims to promote reflective thinking related to theoretical concepts that correspond to the urban scenario as a whole, not just within the socio-spatial domain sciences. Such reflection has the with the aim of finding the necessary means to design a new urban reality, in which there is greater attention regarding the sustainable reproduction of quality of life by introducing a sustainable culture. For this purpose, the methodology of analysis of the morphological dimensions of the urbanization process.
