Resumo
This work is based on the studies of accessibility in Architecture, with the proposal of an
inclusive intermediate school, in Macapá, trying to encompass the inclusion as something that
has been debated and studied for a long time and it has been a struggle of relatives and teachers
of children with special needs and learning difficulties from different areas. The choice of the
proposal refers to the importance of this issue nowadays and the lack of importance given to
accessibility and its rules. Therefore, this project aims to create a school that aggregates all. The
paper will use deductive method, which builds on general rules, materializing ideas through
field research in the project implementation area. However, first, materials will be produced
and study references will be acquired, such as books and articles, which can help the work
understanding and execution, and then, students’ needs will be identified, so that all preliminary
studies be produced. Under these circumstances, it’s expected the result meets the established
standards – not only architectural but also educational –, ensuring students a more
comprehensive service and noticing that families consider their and the children’s basic needs
when they choice a school, and they give preference to the child’s well-being, to ensure that it
will be understood in its limitations.
