A questão do lixo em Laranjal do Jari: Um estudo de caso no bairro das Malvinas

Abstract

It is noticed that little is done in order to rethink the fate of the waste produced. Many believe that should only be a concern of municipal authorities and unfortunately few have responsibility and care about their waste. This research deals with and focuses on the issue of garbage in the Jari Orangery: a case study in the neighborhood of the Falklands; its environmental impacts and quality of life of local residents and hence laranjalense society as a whole. In addition to allowing a change of habit or custom to develop in each citizen an ethical, necessary to survive emphasizing the importance of preserving the environment. The main purpose of this article is to contribute to the awareness of society to the intensification of actions to encourage reduce, reuse and recycle, garbage that is produced, be aware of the responsibility in on the waste that is produced and inappropriate way how it is disposed. The methodology used for the development of the article was guided in the descriptive method, by conducting interviews with residents of the searched location, survey and analysis of references and a better match of the contents raised to our reality. The results showed that there is lack of awareness of the impacts and how to dispose of all waste generated in a way that does not harm the environment and yourself.
