Resumo
This paper aims to analyze the institution of modern economic submerged (embeddedness) in social relations. Leave a theoretical review of some texts of Economic Anthropology, basically calling substantivist School of economics. Here the emphasis lies not, as in the Formalist School in economic consequences of selfish action of the individual to safeguard his interest in material possessions. Rather, the substantive perspective of economics emphasizes the collective interest as a guide in understanding the economic practices. For this school, economic phenomena should not be analyzed without consideration of other dimensions of social life in which these practices take shape. In this perspective, the social agents develop in their economic practice, large and complex circuits sociability functioning as important mechanisms for different economic arrangements. I take as an illustration of these specific networks of sociability social networks derived from traditional social relationships as reciprocity, trust, kinship, friendship, neighborhood, cronyism. This work will stretch these principles to the study of contemporary phenomena of complex societies, such as informal trade. Studies have shown that the informal economy, the subject of my research in a fair clothes operates primarily governed by traditional principles (as in rituals of gift, reciprocity, kinship, friendship, trust, solidarity), since this economy develops outside the framework of the statutory state sphere. The present discussion moves towards substantiate the importance of maintaining and strengthening these networks of social organization combined social, economic, cultural, actors involved in economic activity is not regulated by the state.
