Resumo

Forensic Chemistry is an area of Chemistry that takes advantage of chemical knowledge also related to other disciplines. Knowing that chemistry teaching has been based on memorization and lack of context for decades, it is important that the student has an active participation within the classroom, providing the thematic presentation this work presents a proposal for an investigative teaching sequence for teaching chemistry in the municipality of Santana, the reference has been bringing some concepts of the main methods of forensic Chemistry such as: technique of DNA tests, papilloscopy and ballistics, and how the theme relates to the teaching of Chemistry, articulating, investigating and experimenting with the quantitative/comparative research. In the field research, 30 students of the 3rd year of high school participated in a public school in the municipality of Santana do Amapá, where a fingerprint development practice was carried out with the iodine vapor technique. The analyzed results detected that about 33.40% of the students, on average, were able to relate the contents to the theme, therefore 33.60% and 33% of them followed frequently or always, respectively, what is seen in the classroom. class with the theme, and the learners obtained a considerable number of correct answers of about 46.70% in relation to the diagnostic evaluation, showing that the theme combined with the Didactic Sequence (SD) obtained an excellent result. The present study pointed to the encouragement of forensic chemistry in chemistry teaching, the theme aroused the students' interest in the examined subjects, significantly enthusiastic for their learning
