Percepções de gestantes adolescentes acerca das medidas de prevenção contra a COVID-19

Abstract

To analyze the perception of pregnant adolescents about preventive measures against COVID-19 in the context of the pandemic Method: descriptive, exploratory study with a qualitative approach, carried out with 13 pregnant adolescentes participating in the research project “Gestar e Parir: o WhatsApp como ferramenta de apoio à promoção da saúde”, treated in primary health care. The interviews were guided by a semi-structured script and the data analysis was supported by Bardin's Content Analysis. Results: four categories emerged: 1) Knowledge about basic aspects of the disease; 2) The subjective perception of fear; 3) The influence of information media; 4) The main prevention measures used by pregnant adolescents. In short, pregnant women adapt to the use of preventive measures against COVID-19 and reinforce the importance of using these measures. Final considerations: pregnant women express their individual meanings based on the perception of the strengths and weaknesses of preventive measures against COVID-19.
