Resumo

This dissertation aims to understand Environmental Education in the construction of the community protocol. The study area involves the territory of Beira Amazonas with coverage in the municipalities of Itaubal do Piririm and Macapá, in the State of Amapá. Theme that is part of the studies of the Socio-environmental and Educational Integration Group (GISAE) of the State University of Amapá. The research was based on a case study, with a qualitative approach. The stages of this study consisted of: 1) bibliographic survey; 2) Authorization of communities to participate in the actions of the Beira Amazonas community protocol; 3) Participant observation; 4) Focus group with the protocol management committee and 5) Systematization and data analysis. The results show that the population that inhabits the territory of Beira Amazonas, demonstrated in the process of building the community protocol, a concern to guarantee the protection of natural resources for future generations, as well as the clarity of the environment x society relationship within the principles of an ecology integral, which goes beyond the biological or human sciences, based on the experiences built in everyday life. Sustainability is understood by Beira Amazonas community members as the interrelationships established in time/experience, in which the dialogues of knowledge sharing between internal agents and the strengthening of community organizations are fundamental principles in the actions of sustainability of life and defense of the environment. traditional knowledge. Environmental Education is intrinsically related to the process of building the community protocol, from a perspective of problematizing and critical education.
