Resumo
Parkinson's disease is a relatively common neurodegenerative disease, whose drug therapy is the main form of disease control. Most people living with the disease require complex therapeutic regimens, with numerous adverse effects that are determinants for reducing treatment adherence and intensifying symptoms. This work aimed to describe the development process of a mobile application as an alternative for adherence to drug therapy for people living with Parkinson's disease. This is a qualitative, exploratory, and descriptive study. An extensive literature review was conducted, and this information was discussed by a team, subsidizing information documented through the Business Model Canvas and Value Proposition. In order to increase adherence to drug therapy for people living with Parkinson's disease and improve their quality of life, the requirements that the application should have to fulfill this purpose were defined. Based on the information gathered, prototypes were developed using appropriate language for their visualization in order to meet these objectives. Thus, after the development of the application, technical tests were applied, which supported the validation process with users who used the application and answered a questionnaire about their usage impressions. Based on the evidence presented, it can be inferred that the application in question presents responsive screens with easy visualization, promoting patient autonomy. In addition, the implementation of the proposed functionalities was verified, in order to ensure adherence to drug therapy and, consequently, improve the patient's quality of life
