Abstract

This monograph aims to analyze. The contact between the traditional practice of the parteiras and the public health network in the municipality of Macapá - AP. Due to the requirement of the Compulsory Curricular Component of the Course Completion Work (CCW). Then in this perspective we are going to seek to investigate and understand. What’s the contact between the traditional practice of parteiras and the Modern State? (as a public health institution) The research is based on qualitative and sociological methodological sources, with theoretical research and field in the urban area of Macapá. Using references such as: books, newspapers, magazines, monographs, articles and doctoral thesis. The field was published with subjective questions to the research subjects. And finally to present results as inquiries and questioning from the scientific information of obstetrics and the traditional knowledge of traditional parteiras to make a more precise sociological analysis of the thematic in question about a traditional parteiras in the State of Amapá.
