Políticas públicas e saúde no Amapá: um estudo sobre o atendimento no Hospital de Emergência de Macapá

Abstract

The State of Amapá, located in the northern region of the country, is no exception to the Brazilian reality regarding the level of dissatisfaction with the quality of the public health system. This case study aimed to analyze the quality of services offered by the State of Amapá Hospital Emergency (HE) in the city of Macapá. Featuring as methodology a literature search, which included items of electronic and printed periodicals, published in the years 1992 to 2015, indexed in the main bases of scientific data and a questionnaire with 13 objective questions for case study analysis between July to September / 2016. The results of this case study were not mutually exclusive events from other Brazilian regions, dissatisfaction and lack of public policies to solve or mitigate this problem is insufficient. Even if there is stress characteristic of all Emergency Hospital needs with urgent action to reduce the waiting time for appointments for consultations and screening process, it confirms that the patients had a critical evaluation in the services provided by the Hospital of emergency. This study does not exhaust the need for further and new research on the subject, so that it can contribute effectively through scientific analysis with the scientific community and the population in need of this service quickly and efficiently.
