Resumo

The focus of this work is the sociological study on the teaching of Sociology at Middle level analyzed in three public schools, namely: Antonio Messiah, Lucimar Blackberries Del Castillo and Maria do Carmo Carmelita, between 2009 and 2010. The research was developed addressing the following problem: what proposals to raise the performance of teaching and learning of sociology in public schools? The overall objective was to reveal the situation of sociology teaching and learning, and the specific objectives were to raise students' socioeconomic aspects and analyze the methodological aspects of teaching sociology. For these purposes, we carried out a comparative study in order to verify the similarities or differences in order to understand the teaching and learning of sociology. Ten questionnaires were applied per class in each school, a questionnaire diagnosis of functional structure and teaching in each school and the application of a socioeconomic questionnaire to students. It was found that the problems faced by the school community are provided with physical infrastructure problems even with respect to teaching students with learning what is striking in this paper, given their answers in the course of the questionnaires. According to the bibliographies used and after the study during the research study found that the problems are far from resolved, however, not impossible, according to the theoretical consulted, the changes that are necessary to fit all work with education. There is no ready recipe for an hour to be solved all other problems, but technical studies, educational policy and good management which school collaboration for the improvement of teaching and learning of sociology in high school.
