Resumo

This work aims to review and analyze the application of silk fibroin nanoparticles associated with Amazonian oils for the control of Aedes aegypti, a vector of arboviruses such as dengue, Zika, chikungunya, and yellow fever. The research was characterized as a literature review, with an exploratory and descriptive approach, aiming to compile the main scientific contributions in the area, identify knowledge gaps, and suggest new directions for future research. Data collection was carried out through consultations with scientific databases such as ScienceDirect, PubMed, Google Scholar, and SciELO, using descriptors related to nanotechnology, silk fibroin, Amazonian oils, and vector control. The analysis of the studies revealed the growing interest in polymeric nanoparticles as controlled release systems, highlighting silk fibroin due to its biocompatibility and encapsulation properties. The combination of Amazonian oils such as andiroba, murumuru, and Brazil nut oils, with fibroin has shown promise in increasing larvicidal efficacy and minimizing environmental impacts. Therefore, the results indicate that fibroin nanoparticles associated with these oils have the potential to improve the stability and dispersion of bioactive compounds, amplifying larvicidal action and impacting the reproductive behavior of Ae. aegypti. The research concludes that this approach offers a sustainable and effective alternative to traditional vector control methods, with potential for practical applications in public health.
