Sambas de enredo e educação antirracista: proposta didática de um caderno temático para o ensino da história e cultura africana e afroamapaense

Abstract

This work investigates the potential of samba school anthems as didactic-pedagogical tools for teaching African and Afro-Amapá History and Culture, with an emphasis on promoting anti racist education and the implementation of Law No. 10.639/2003. The research proposes the development of a thematic booklet to support teachers in the final years of elementary school, linking the historical narratives present in samba school anthems to discussions about the contributions and experiences of African and Afro-descendant peoples in Brazil and Amapá. Based on the contributions of historiographical renewal, cultural pedagogies, critical teaching methodologies, and studies on ethnic-racial relations in the school environment, the study recognizes samba school anthems as cultural expressions endowed with memory, history, and narrative capacity, capable of broadening the understanding of the participation and contributions of Black people in the formation of Brazilian society. It is argued that these compositions not only express identities, resistances, and worldviews, but can also foster critical reflection, value Afro-Brazilian and Afro-Amapá knowledge, and strengthen contextualized and socially committed pedagogical practices. As an educational product, a thematic workbook structured in didactic sequences based on samba school anthems is presented, which dialogue with content proposed in the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) and the Amapá Curricular Framework (RCA), intended to support teachers in the construction of formative practices aligned with the appreciation of cultural diversity and the fight against racism.
