Introduction: Cerebral Vascular Accident (CVA), when it does not lead to death, can cause alterations and sequelae that vary according to the area and extent of the lesion, as well as sensory, motor and/or cognitive sequelae. Conditions such as anxiety, stress and depression are considered prevalent symptoms that influence performance and motor skills, thus affecting the quality of life of these patients. The Induced Constraint Therapy is a technique that works with both the intense training of the affected limb and the behavioral issue. Objective: To analyze the influence of psychic symptoms on the motor skills of a stroke patient undergoing Modified Constraint Induced Therapy (mCIMT). Methodology: This is a case report study, which was carried out in the city of Macapá-AP. The assessment instruments and measures were: Psychological assessment (Anxiety, Depression and Stress Scale - EADS-21); Motor function (Wolf Motor Function Test - WMFT) and Motor activity (Motor Activity Log - MAL) of the patient submitted to CIMT. Results: A male participant, 62 years old, with a clinical diagnosis of ischemic stroke, 2 years ago, presented a score of 14 for anxiety, 24 for stress and 24 for depression in the EADS-21, which is considered moderate. In addition to the improvement in motor function, where the patient showed a difference of 13'.11” in the WMFT and in the MAL QT scale of 0.89 and in the MAL QL of 0.77, he showed a significant improvement in the constructs evaluated by the EADS-21 when compared in the pre and post-intervention, where the scores obtained showed that the levels of Anxiety and Depression reduced, while the level of Stress indicated normality. Conclusion: It is concluded that there was a significant improvement in psychic aspects (anxiety, depression and stress constructs), as well as the influence on the motor skills of an individual with stroke sequelae submitted to mCIMT.
