Conhecimento tradicional e divulgação em rede social da flora medicinal do Estado do Amapá, Amazônia Brasil

Abstract

The objective of the research was to investigate which medicinal plants aroused the greatest interest and engagement on the Instagram profile @manjericao_plantasesaberes, with the aim of understanding users' preferences in relation to the content posted. The methodology consisted of surveying and analyzing the metrics of likes, comments, shares, saves, reach, visits and impressions of specific posts about medicinal plants. The results indicate that posts about plants popularly known in the Amazon region, such as Andirobeira (Carapa guianensis Aubl.), Babosa (Aloe vera (L.) Burm. F.), Jambú (Acmella oleracea (L.) R.K. Jansen), Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis L.), Alfavaca (Ocimum gratissimum L.), Vick (Mentha spicata L.), Verônica (Dalbergia monetaria L. f.) and White Cotton (Gossypium barbadense L.), were those that obtained the greatest engagement and interest. It is concluded that users seek more detailed information about plant species that are part of their daily lives, aiming to cure or treat prevalent diseases, that is, those that do not pose a serious risk to health and can be treated in primary care.
