Grotesco crítico, escatológico e bullying no conto “Nem toda gordura é tão saborosa” de Bruno Sérvulo

Abstract

This work aims to demonstrate the grotesque in its scatological and critical form in the short story “Nem toda gordura é tão saborosa” by amapense author Bruno Sérvulo, demonstrating how the two aesthetic manifestations give the story a dark and critical aspect in the face of related bullying to physical appearance. Afterward, analyzing the short story subject of this monograph, it was possible to demonstrate that the grotesque is a central part in the construction of the protagonist character. We combined the study of the grotesque with theories of Literature. With this, we seek to highlight how it is possible to observe in Amapense Literature a work that deviates from commom themes, as well as the aesthetics used in grotesque, therefore, we highlight the production of the author Bruno Sérvulo in the Amapaense Literature scenario. For this Final Year Project Dissertation, the following theorists were used to guide the research: Muniz Sodré and Raquel Paiva (2002) to understand the grotesque, Umberto Eco (2007) to study ugliness, Francesco Marino (2022), Roberto Carlos Ribeiro (2008), Mariléia Maciel to study Amapá Literature and ultimately, Julio Cortazar (2006) and Ricardo Piglia (2004) to explain the characteristics of the story.
