Análise do campo normativo da questão ambiental nas cidades gêmeas da região das Guianas

Abstract

This article investigates and compares legal norms and instruments, such as international and bilateral treaties among the countries of the Guiana region (Brazil, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, and French Guiana), and their effects on local cross-border policy. The research combines an analysis of environmental treaties with a review of relevant literature, using primary and secondary sources to explore the political and environmental dynamics that influence regional cooperation. The results indicate that the lack of normative harmonization among the countries of the Guiana region represents a significant obstacle to the effective implementation of environmental policies, directly affecting the sustainability and conservation of shared ecosystems.
