As práticas teatrais comunitárias em regiões periféricas: conexões com jovens e adolescentes a partir do teatro na comunidade de Portel/PA

Abstract

This research aims to deepen the look at community theatrical actions based on their links with the theme of violence, whether due to the geographic location that these experiences occupy, or the themes they address. I believe that one of the ways to contribute to changes in this scenario is by offering young people and teenagers the opportunity to have theatrical experiences, and the theory of community theater seems suitable for this objective. The community of Portel can be taken as an example of the neglect of public authorities in promoting cultural activities, with the city's cultural activities taking place mainly in religious environments. In light of this research, I seek to understand possibilities that theater can offer in combating violence rates. For this we take as an example the theater groups Pombas Urbanas from São Paulo - SP, Cia Marginal Rio de Janeiro - RJ and the group Só Bobagem in Portel-Pa.
