As percepções dos jovens sobre as organizações sociais da Ilha das Cinzas-PA

Abstract

Social organizations have long been part of the life of rural communities, who seek through associativism, solve their problems and overcome difficulties. In this context of people, water and floreta and their multiple relationships, youth are inserted in the field of waters and forests. Thus, seeking to understand the perceptions of young people about the social organizations of the Island of the Ashes. The study was conducted in the island of ashes, in the municipality of Gurupá - Pá, in the form of interviews with young people aged 15 to 29 years. The research is quantitative- qualitative. According to the results, 100% of the young people interviewed know and participate in social organization. All young people act in some way in social organizations, as in churches, association and fishermen's colony. The actions developed by these institutions enable young people to remain in the field, whether in the way of life or in family production. Everyone considers these entities important for community development. Regarding their identity, 16% of the youth consider themselves family farmers, 42% identify themselves as extractivists and 42% as riverside. In this way, it is possible to notice that social organizations seek the permanence of the youth in the Island of the Ashes, implementing actions that guarantee the quality of life of these subjects, and in addition, these institutions are part of the culture and History of the extractivist communities
