Resumo

Because the importance of the translation studies to the contemporary linguistic scene of interdisciplinarity between the speakers, readers and users of communication systems among various ethnicies, social groups and nationalities. This work aims at the development of methodologies that could be recurrent in the translation processes involving words and expressions characterized as regional from Amapá. Also, it stimulates reflections about the organization, registration and creation of a linguistic collection based on the English language papers as a foreign language, considering the necessity of amplification of this theme in the academic environment, mainly in undergraduate courses on English language. This work also has the purpose of creating a glossary that could promote the linguistic research in translation studies at the Amapá state through textual elements that have orally contextual validation and are present in a more formal environment of language like literary records. In order to do so, this work explains the beliefs about translation and ideas that have been built over the years about the work of the translator, looking forward to expand and justify that the choices of the translation units used by the translator regarding the analysis stages, interpretation and creation of the texts in the foreign language, aiming the best transport of meanings in the interlingual translation between source language and target language. Still in this view, the equivalence and fidelity were brought correlated to the translator’s objectives in using the member of the Amapá Academy of Letters Paulo Tarso Barros’ short stories, which require a lot of knowledge and skills to get a good result in the other language translation. The main obstacles of this work can be found on the limits of what can be translatable or in what does not have translatable elements, because it is about a regional context. Generating, this way, a glossary with selected words regarding the regional linguistic valuation criteria that could help the needs of research and resolution of conflicts related to the translation of typically regional meanings. In addition, it instigates the idea of the development of translations or papers involving the vocabulary aspect that characterizes the Amapá society, regarding the infinity of texts, papers and records wrote in the region.
