A organização retórica do gênero artigo de opinião: uma proposta de modelo de análise

Abstract

The present work is situated in the socio-rhetorical conception of genres (SWALES, 1990). In this study, the focus of this research is the opinion article genre, present in Veja magazine and its rhetorical organization. For theoretical and methodological support, we use the CARS (Create a Research Space) model created by John M. Swales (1990), for whom the concept of gender concerns the form and the characteristic content of a text, the purposes and certain discursive communities (SWALES, 1990), but also to sociocultural aspects. The purpose of this paper is to present a proposal for the analysis of the textual / discursive genre opinion article from the CARS (Create a Research Space) model created by John M. Swales (1990). For theoretical foundation we use the discussions of the socio-rhetorical approach of genres and the conceptualization of opinion article. This is a descriptive research (GIL, 2008), with a qualitative interpretative approach (CHIZZOTTI, 2006) of the documentary type being also made a quantitative survey of rhetorical movements. The corpus of the analysis consisted of 18 copies of the textual / discursive opinion article genre from which it was possible to find certain rhetorical regularities in the compositional structure of this genre
