Resumo
The present work aims to analyze the lexical variation referring to the semantic field “fauna” of Portuguese spoken in the State of Amapá. The research is based on the field of Dialectology, a linguistic science whose main objective is to identify, describe and situate the different uses in which a language diversifies, according to its spatial, sociocultural and chronological distribution (Cardoso, 2010), in addition to the method Geolinguistic that helps in mapping and identifying dialect areas. The work follows the same methodological proposal and parameters adopted by the Atlas Linguístico do Amapá – ALAP project (Razky; Ribeiro; Sanches, 2017), that is, we consider all 10 points of inquiry, according to the geographic density and historicity of each location; the 40 informants who responded to the Semantic-lexical questionnaire (QSL) (Comité, 2001). The analyzed data was organized using Excel spreadsheet software, phonetically transcribed, and then linguistic cartography was produced using CorelDraw graphic designer software. The analysis was carried out based on six lexical items belonging to the semantic field “fauna”: fruit bug; stump; guinea fowl; lame; leech and udder. With this, we identified a diversity of frequent lexical variants, proving the productivity of the study.
