Letramento digital: formação para o conhecimento de informática por meio do projeto UNIFAPDIGITAL

Abstract

This study analyzed the digital literacy process, which refers to the acquisition of reading/writing/use practices, made possible by the computer, developed through the extension and inclusion project, called UNIFAPDIGITAL of the Federal University of Amapá. The methodological procedures used in the research consist of questionnaires applied at the beginning and at the end of the course for the classes of the first semester of 2013. This procedure sought to evaluate the profile of the participants, as well as to investigate the initial and final knowledge regarding the knowledge of Computing. The results allowed us to infer that the digital literacy process occurs in the UNIFAPDIGITAL course, since the beginning student has little or no skill with computer technologies and, from the moment he starts to interact with them in the course, he presents a significant advance in the knowledge and computer handling, allowed through classroom practice and the use of tools in various social spheres. It is thus concluded that the UNIFAPDIGITAL project enables participants to develop skills and abilities to use, read and write, using the computer, thus allowing the process of digital literacy to take place.
