Resumo

This research discusses the conceptual and methodological foundations of the frame as a didactic-pedagogical resource to problematize female participation in the teaching of history about the Civil-Military Dictatorship in Brazil (1964-1985). The product of the research, composed of a proposal for a didactic sequence and a frame as a teaching resource, emerges to pedagogically address the silencing of female voices in textbooks that persist in promoting the underrepresentation of women in these spaces that are frequently occupied by male figures. Furthermore, the frame specifically acts to fill gaps in traditional didactic narratives that reduce women to the role of victims or supporting actors. By raising concerns about the systematic exclusion of characters in textbooks, students are encouraged to debate and question hegemonic didactic narratives that minimize the relevance of women's participation in Brazil's historical processes. At the same time, the product acts critically to highlight the multifaceted female actions as political, cultural, and social agents who led the struggle for the reestablishment of democracy in the country. The initial possibility of using the frame is aligned with the 3rd grade class of High School in teaching about the subject of knowledge Civil-Military Dictatorship in Brazil (1964-1985). However, it can be directed to the 9th grade of Elementary School 2 – Final Years, as it shares this content guideline in its curriculum. Revisiting the didactic narratives about the period of exception through the frame helps to reveal and value the historical role of women in all its social dimensions. Recognizing this leading role is reaffirming that the fight for memory, truth and justice is also a fight for inclusion and the appreciation of all voices that contributed to the country's ongoing process of (re)democratization.
