Resumo
This work addresses historical questions about the evolution of photography and
photographic cameras. First, what photography is about, how this advent became
familiar in the world and how man came to perceive and perceive himself in this
process. In the background, some assumptions were made about the aesthetics
of photography and its approaches, based on the photography schools of the
twentieth century. It also required a historical view of photography in Brazil and
its contribution. For the satisfactory evolution of the research a regionalist look -
on the photography in Macapá - was indispensable. The research also
emphasizes and locates the Teaching of Visual Arts in this photographic context,
proposing photography as a methodological resource in this teaching process,
for this, there was an investigation at a local school in the city, proposing a
photography workshop for students of the Elementary School, in the intention to
perceive, as the students, see the daily life around them through the images
captured by them.
