Abstract

This article aims to develop an analysis of how women are treated in Yemen, using as information vehicle the comic strip "The World of Aisha". The first section gives an analysis of the history of comics, from its genesis to the moment in which it begins to interact with the subjects of International Relations. The next topic is the comic book "The World of Aisha" and its power of information on the issues that Yemeni women experience in relation to culture, showing the lives of the women who met the photographer Agnes Montanari during her expedition in the country for International Policy issues. The last topic deals with how Yemeni women have their identities marked by their garments or the people surrounding them, how the influence of the environment makes their perceptions affected and how the middle of both the Middle East and the world Western view of women and perceptions from the point of view of each
