Erosão na orla de Macapá: um estudo de caso na área do Aturiá, no bairro do Araxá, em Macapá-AP

Abstract

The shoreline of Aturiá, located in the Araxá district, in the city of Macapá, capital of Amapá State, has been suffering from erosion over the years, a fact that has already led to the retreat of the coastline (retrogradation) and the disappearance of innumerable residences that previously existed on the banks of the river in that area Thus, due to this reality, the present study was directed to the area of Aturiá, where there are innumerable residences, coming from occupations considered irregular, built on the banks of the Amazon River, on the river bank of the city and an evaluation at the mouth of the Amazon River on the southeast coast of Amapá, Bailique and Marajó -PA archipelago. It is therefore necessary to compare satellite images from different periods, identify retrograde points, measure them and check the level Amazon River waters through quotas in order to assess the possible relationship with the accelerated water advance Aturiá's. Through a research in which the methodology was based on the inductive approach method and whose data collection procedure used was the type of qualitative research, we sought to gather information about the erosion process suffered by the edge of the Aturiá area. , where points were evaluated for the study of the shoreline with confirmation of its retreat at critical points in housing areas
