Resumo

Atmospheric pollution is one of the problems that afflict humanity, as well as threatening the environment as the air becomes harmful to people's health, because it begins to receive pollutant loads from industries, burning and carbon emissions. arising from the large number of vehicles that circulate in large urban centers. The aim of this Course Completion Work was to carry out a scientific study regarding traffic in UNIFAP areas through flow research and volumetric counting. Subsequently, a traffic simulation was carried out, using the free software SUMO®, with the arithmetic mean of the average daily volume of the largest loads transferred. To this end, the research was carried out in the field over three days, from October 18th to 20th, 2022, in the morning, from 7:30 am to 9:30 am, in the afternoon, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm and in the evening, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. As for collection, there were two points: the first at the intersection with Rodovia Josmar Pinto and the second with Rua Amadeu Gama, in both directions, entry and exit. Using the software for simulation, it is possible to generate a report with the emission of polluting gases, which will be used to analyze CO2 emissions and a proposal for mitigating these emissions will be presented by surveying the number of trees capable of absorbing these pollutants. The study showed the greater use of gate 1, accessed via the Josmar Pinto highway, with greater flow at night, with a large number of private vehicles, generating pollution of 6.2 tons in one year.
