Abstract

The Beirol Canal is part of a large urban watercourse that also integrates the Pedrinhas Canal, part of the watercourse that is closest to the downstream, but is still part of the same watercourse. Across the Beirol canal, there are a number of dwellings, pipelines, urban equipment such as concrete and wooden bridges, as well as the streets that cross the canal. The present work has as its main objective the collection of information related to the material found along the water course of the Beirol canal and how this material can be removed from the river to the Amazon River, besides seeking the realization of a public policy used in the days. management of this important urban object. The Beirol Canal is the largest urban canal in the city of Macapá, totaling just over 5 km from its source to a river in the Amazon.
