The results indicate that of the 21 interviewed participants, who participated in the meliponicultura project in the Coal District, 10% reported that the closure of the activities was for financial reasons, since they needed resources for the purchase of alternative food (sugar) for bee management. Another 5% said that it was lack of interest of their own, since the project already had an amount of rational boxes with bees captured quite expressive around 100 hives, 5% said that it was lack of technical assistance, since they needed that this relation if at least until the activity brought them a financial return, and the vast majority of respondents reported that they were the three previous options, but 5% still mentioned that they were different causes for the closure of the activity, insect attack, predators of difficult technical control, especially flies.
