A relação entre a pandemia do covid-19 e o aumento dos casos de violência doméstica no Brasil no ano de 2020

Abstract

The present work aims to identify how the COVID-19 pandemic influenced cases of domestic violence in the Brazilian state in 2020, considering the biopsychosocial effects of isolation, risk factors for victimization and pre-treatment. existence of an epidemic of gender violence in the country. The qualitative method and feminist curiosity, as coined by Cynthia Enloe, were used for the research. It was found that the response of the Brazilian government in the fight against domestic violence during the year 2020, with the occurrence of the pandemic, left something to be desired. Government decisions were not made considering a gender perspective and Brazilian women were exposed to a situation of greater vulnerability due to pre-existing risk factors, such as reduced access to education, accumulation of domestic tasks and financial dependence, accumulated with the social, economic and health challenges brought by the pandemic.
