Religião e Política: a perseguição aos cristãos no mundo pela intolerância religiosa e o posicionamento internacional do governo brasileiro (2019-2022)

Abstract

This article aims to address the persecution of christians around the world due to religious intolerance in its extremist phase, perpetuated by countries listed by the international organizations Open Doors Mission and Human Rights Watch, which, through reports, classify the countries most hostile to christianity. From this, emphasize the actions of the Brazilian government through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs concerning persecuted christians and their fundamental rights to be protected, in particular, the right to life; and show the multifaceted causes and forms of persecution. The methodology consists of content analysis of diplomatic speeches, the use of sources such as articles, periodicals, online documents, and bibliographic references. Although most of Brazil's diplomatic speeches expressed concern about religious intolerance, its actions were unsuccessful.
