O gênero Lepanthes Sw. (Asparagales: orchidaceae) para o Brasil

Abstract

The family Orchidaceae Juss. presents more than 25 thousand species, is considered one of the largest of the phanerogams. These plants are distributed all over the planet Earth, except in the polar and desert regions, they present greater diversity in the tropical and subtropical regions. The objective of the present work was to know the diversity of plants of the genus Lepanthes for Brazil, as well as to realize a flora described and illustrated for the group. Data were obtained by consulting the national and online herbarium databases and visits to the Amapaense Herbarium. Morphometric analyzes, description and compilation of information on habitat occurrence and phenology were performed based on data obtained from exsicate label labels. A bibliographic survey was also carried out through consultations with scientific articles, books, reports, monographs, dissertations, theses and scientific sites. The taxonomic approach that was used followed the one indicated in the List of Species of Flora of Brazil 2020. Already the survey of the species were made through analysis of vouchers (testimonial materials) recorded in Brazilian herbariums. As a result of the survey, the following species were found: Lepanthes brasiliensis, L. exilis, L. helicocephala, L. pariaensis, L. turialvae, and L. suelipinii. For each species, descriptive and illustrated charts were prepared for each species
