Segurança do trabalho na construção civil: avaliação das medidas de segurança do trabalho adotadas em uma obra de retrofit no município de Santana/AP

Abstract

Civil construction is one of the mainstays of the national economy and one of the sectors that generates the most jobs and income for the population. On the other hand, it is considered to be one of the main causes of accidents at work and the exposure of workers to risk. It is therefore necessary to adopt preventive measures in order to mitigate and eliminate occupational accidents and illnesses. The aim of this study is to analyze the importance of occupational safety in the civil construction, highlighting the benefits of implementing safety and accident prevention measures, as well as evaluating the safety measures that were implemented in a retrofit project in Santana, Amapá state, including the Covid-19 pandemic scenario. In order to achieve this objective, a study of the literature on the subject was carried out, as well as a review of the main Regulatory Standards and a field survey to evaluate the safety measures that were adopted. As a result of this research, it was concluded that employees were aware of the importance of using safety tools and that they were used satisfactorily. It was also found that the presence of an occupational safety professional is essential in order to carry out the necessary actions to comply with the rules, planning, organizing, implementing and controlling all the phases and activities of the work, seeking to guide and train his team so that they carry out their activities correctly and, above all, safely.
