Análise linguística sobre a necessidade de compreender os phrasal verbs para um melhor desempenho em leitura

Abstract

This work aims to analyze through linguistics the importance of knowing the PHRASAL VERBS, linguistic elements of the English Language that are present in several literary productions and textbooks. For this reason, its study is considered important, because the Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais (PCN) propose reading as a fundamental element to be practiced by the students. Therefore, the study of PHRASAL VERBS becomes relevant so that the students understand how this linguistic resource is presented and obtain understanding for a better performance in their reading at the moment of interaction with a certain textual typology studied. This paper has the PCN and PCNEM as its guiding principles, altogether with the scholars of the subject treated here.
