Resumo

This paper focused on the theme of autism, having as goal the quest for understanding regarding Syndrome (set of symptoms), as well as the methodology applied by physical education teacher who works in autistic student care. Justified by the need for continuing a study which began in discipline special physical education, where he presented the thematic of autism related to pipelines typical of people with special needs, thus arousing interest in deepening the theme in question. This survey, which has the character of qualitative research, used as a method, the case study and participant observation, for obtaining data collection. Thus the work problematize the ignorance of the society in relation to the tissue of this research and, knowing that there is an immense difficulty in coping with autism, question: what is the role of physical education teacher in the educational process of autistic, since the person suffered this Syndrome is characterized by immense difficulty socializing, communication and restricted and stereotyped patterns of behaviour. In this sense, it is understood that the work of inclusion of autistic students in Physical education classes, not confined only to make the content taught in classes, but make activities accessible and understandable for all students, including autistic.
