Abstract

Taking into account the instability of the national economy, especially those caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. In the construction sector, the accuracy of cost assessment in the supply chain of a project, as well as its frequent updates, is essential for the success of a venture, ensuring compliance with established values and providing maximum profitability. In this regard, this research aimed to analyze how the crisis resulting from COVID-19 influenced the prices of the main inputs in a medium-sized construction company in the city of Macapá, Amapá. Thus, a case study was conducted, where the collected data originate from archived and completed purchasing processes of a medium-sized construction company in the city of Macapá, Amapá. A significant variation was identified between SINAPI costs and the purchase price of the inputs used for the project's construction. Taking into consideration the pandemic scenario and the economic instability experienced in the country, this variation between SINAPI and the purchase price can be justified.
