Resumo

Physics as a science presents itself in various aspects of the natural world, and its teaching cannot be decontextualized from the political, social and economic aspects present in the student's life. In this context, the BNCC encourages in its texts that physics as a science is presented in an interdisciplinary way and that provokes an investigative sense, finding solutions to problems that arise in the environment in which the student is inserted. In this perspective, we developed an experimental didactic sequence model, and applied it within the thematic axis of mechanics, aiming to explore the concepts of velocity, displacement and time. The sequence is composed of two stages, the first is a low-complexity experiment, the alcohol rocket, seeking to engage the students, and subsequently the hydrodynamic rocket is applied, which opens up a range of pedagogical possibilities, to more complex models, which enables an active interdisciplinary proposal. We also point out some articles and works that can be used to elaborate a broader didactic sequence, based on this teaching vision. Data analysis points to a significant improvement in the teaching-learning process, within physics teaching, especially with regard to the relationship between physical theory and phenomenological explanation.
