Identidade cultural do Amapá em canções e ladrões de marabaixo

Abstract

The Undergraduate Final Year Project (UFYP) presented constituted the survey of questions of cultural identity in the “cancioneiro popular amapaense”, from its religious references. With the theoretical support of authors like Bakhtin (2003), Canclini (2006), Costa (2002), Geertz (1989), Piedade (2009), among others, the proposal of this qualitative research was to reflect on the mechanisms of construction of this cultural identity. Therefore, we use ten texts that are five songs (here referring to Amapá’s popular music): “Arraial, “Festejo”, “Pedra do rio”, “No Laguinho, “Gogó do nego”, and four “ladrões (cantigas) of Marabaixo”: “Nosso folclore, nossa cultura”, “De janeiro a dezembro”, “Terra das Bacabeiras” , “Ciclo do Marabaixo” and “Marabaixinho”. This corpus is treated as an object of literary analysis, being the study route that guided the elaboration of this research project, which focused on significant historical records in the transmission of the cultural heritage of Amapá, contributing to a cultural identity formation in the State.
