A imigração brasileira para a Guiana Francesa: uma análise a partir do Jornal France Guyane

Abstract

The hereby work piece seeks to promote a study on how Brazil is perceived by French Guiana. The hypothesis here proposed for investigating is if there is a securitizing or politicising process of Brazilian presence in French Guyana. To answer to this question, one shall utilize the news reported by the only produced and printed newspaper in Guyana, “France-Guyane”, involving Brazil. It is noticeable that most news related to Brazilians are those of contents regarding themes such as illegal activities. The theoretical contribution to sustain this monography is that of International Security studies, linked to a qualitative, exploratory and bibliographical analysis
