Abstract

This Article aims to analyze the issue of intra - regional migration and migration policy within Mercosur in the context of international changes and the evolution of the bloc. Throughout the paper, the changes in the international context and how the migration theme has accompanied this panorama will be analyzed, as well as the visions and tensions regarding the main means adopted by states concerning the migrants in their territories. In addition, the regional integration process, steps and key features; The evolution of migration policy in Mercosur and finally the analysis of the Agreement of Residence for the Nationals of the States Parties of Mercosur, Bolivia and Chile, its main characteristics and the importance of this instrument for the integration of the region and mobility of the citizens of the States Parties and for the subject of intra-regional migration. It will be used bibliographical review of studies in the area, Mercosur meeting documents, the decree and the law that regulates the subject in Brazil, as well as official portals of institutions related to migration, human rights and the Mercosur bloc
