Percepção dos alunos de Letras Inglês da Unifap sobre sua formação acadêmica como futuros professores: uma amostra

Abstract

An initial teacher training needs to be qualified in order to ensure that the professional can do their craft and respond to society’s demands with commitment. For that matter, this article is the result of The Final Thesis, which aimed to profile students of the Letras Inglês course, from 2016 to 2022 semesters, of Universidade Federal do Amapá (UNIFAP) from the knowledge of the perceptions they have as academics who experienced a long way of formation. Methodologically we worked with an ethnographic-based approach, in which the data collection came from students of the semesters we selected for the research, by means of a digital form Google Forms. The results found from the collaboration of 33 students demonstrate the course is composed fundamentally of women, between the ages of 21 and 26 years old, from public schools, in which the majority are having their first graduation and, although they recognize that there are still gaps, they perceive themselves as having a good and very good level of proficiency in English, which shows that the students performed well during the course.
